Advanced AML Course for MLRO’s Isle of Man
We live in interesting times with regard to the world of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF).
In the last 12 months we have seen the workings of international money laundering exposed with the Panama Papers leak, numerous examples of terrorist incidents and major political changes in Europe. This Advanced AML Course for MLRO’s Isle of Man will review legislation and techniques to identify suspicious activity.
The United Kingdom AML / CTF system is heading for significant reform both in legislation and practice. On the Isle of Man there has been an overhaul of the mechanisms designed to combat illicit funds being channelled through the financial system along with major legislative change.
This 3 hour, interactive workshop will satisfy Regulatory requirements and examine recent events, allowing MLROs to examine how they impact on their work.

What does the course involve?
Completely new and revolutionary software – View360 Global – will be utilised to deliver this training as we aim to move away from conventional methods of presentation and ‘paper feed’ knowledge checking. In this workshop Delegates will receive an initial period of legislative updates and then commence working in a team environment, using the software, on a number of in-depth, relevant AML/CTF scenarios. Teams will receive information, via the software, which may be in the format of video, audio or documents and then record their decisions, whilst being monitored by the Trainer and time restricted!
